CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. — Investigators say the wintry weather played a role in a fatal accident in Chautauqua County Monday morning.

Sheriff's deputies say 23-year-old Timothy Dolling was headed north on Farrington Hollow Road in the town of Cherry Creek just after 7 a.m. Monday when he crossed the center line and was hit an oncoming car.

Dolling's car flipped and landed on top of the other vehicle, driven by 71-year-old George Bowser. Deputies say Boswer was killed in the crash.

Dolling was taken to ECMC, where he is in critical but stable condition. Deputies say charges are pending.
